How the ranking works
NHLe = points per game × league factor × 82. A league's factor is how much of a skater's scoring carried over when players moved from that league to the NHL the next season (or, for junior and college leagues, to a bridge league like the AHL first). Factors come from prospuck's own data, computed 2026-10-03. NHLe measures scoring only: it says nothing about defence, and it doesn't adjust for age or position. Goalies are ranked separately by save percentage.
FAQ
What is NHLe?
NHL equivalency: a player's points per game multiplied by a league factor and scaled to 82 games. The factor is how much scoring typically carries over when players move from that league to the NHL.
Who counts as a prospect?
Players drafted in the last 6 NHL drafts with fewer than 25 NHL regular-season games and a stat line this season or last.
Why is a player unranked?
Skaters need 20 games in leagues with an NHLe factor in one season; goalies need 15 games in one league. Players below that, or only in leagues without a factor, are listed as NR.
How often is this updated?
Stats refresh every night. League factors are recalculated about once a year.
